How to get VA benefits

Enrollment Certification Request

Veterans and dependents receiving VA Educational Assistance must complete a WSU Enrollment Certification Request prior to each semester or term that they wish to use their VA benefit. This form requires the student's academic advisor's approval, so plan ahead! Failure to submit this form will delay receipt of your monthly GI Bill payments.

  • Deadline to pay unpaid tuition and mandatory fees or a 7% late fee will be assessed.
Fri, Oct 6, 2023
  • Deadline to apply for a Graduate Degree. Late fees are applied after this date. Please see Graduate School Deadlines for more information.
  • Last day to apply for a Graduate Certificate/Degree. No extensions, no late fees.
  • Last day to apply for Fall 2023 undergraduate, professional degree or certificate without incurring a late fee. After this date an additional fee of $75 is assessed.


8/18/23 Transitioning to Direct Deposit for VA Stipends

VA will no longer issue paper checks as of October 1, 2023. To ensure uninterrupted and timely PCAFC stipend payments, all Primary Family Caregivers receiving paper checks must complete the EFT enrollment process as soon as possible or before the deadline. Please go here for more information.

7/27/23 Evaluated Degree Plan Going Live in August

Beginning 1 August, Soldiers using Tuition Assistance (TA) are required to provide an Evaluated Degree Plan (EDP) prior to completion of two courses. Please go here for more information.

7/27/23 Resumption of Student Loan Repayments

7/21/23 Tuition Assistance FY23 Closeout

Effective 8 September 2023, Soldiers will no longer be able to request TA for future dated FY23 courses in ArmyIgnitED. Click on the link to the official announcement for more information.
